Updating an existing home

For existing homes, we evaluate the panel, circuits, wiring, devices, and the concerns behind the project. For new construction, we begin with the plans and how each area will be used.

Plan the Circuits

We lay out general lighting and receptacle circuits along with dedicated power for appliances, pumps, bathrooms, outdoor equipment, HVAC systems, and other loads.

Run the Wiring

We route wiring to outlets, switches, lights, appliances, and equipment. In an existing house, the attic, the crawl space, and the finished walls decide how we get there.

Install Devices and Breakers

We connect the receptacles, GFCIs, switches, dimmers, fixtures, fans, breakers, dedicated outlets, and other devices included in the project.

Test the Electrical System

We verify connections, test voltage, and confirm that repaired or newly installed circuits operate as designed.

How do I know whether my home needs rewiring?

No single symptom automatically means a home needs complete rewiring. Repeated trouble, damaged wiring, loose connections, circuits losing power, or a system that no longer meets the home's needs are reasons to schedule an inspection.

Does an older home always need to be completely rewired?

No. Some homes need only certain circuits or sections replaced, while others require broader work. We evaluate the wiring's condition and the home's electrical needs before recommending the scope.

Can you rewire only part of a house?

Yes. Partial rewiring is often completed for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and other renovations when the remaining system is in suitable condition.

Can you add outlets and circuits during a rewire?

Yes. Rewiring is a good time to add receptacles, lighting, dedicated circuits, and other residential electrical upgrades based on how you use the home.

Will the walls need to be opened?

Sometimes. Attics, crawl spaces, and basements usually give us a path. Some areas mean opening a wall. The home's construction and wiring routes determine how much access is needed.

Can you correct wiring installed improperly?

Yes. We trace the circuits and correct loose connections, damaged conductors, backwired receptacles, and unsafe work somebody else left behind.

Does rewiring include replacing the panel?

Not automatically. The wiring and panel are related but separate. We look at the panel condition and capacity while we plan, so you know up front whether it stays or needs a panel replacement.

Can you wire a new home from the ground up?

Yes. We provide new-construction residential wiring as well as rewiring and electrical upgrades for existing homes.
